La Mémoire du Petit Prince…

… is the title of Jean-Pierre Guéno’s latest book. After the enormous success of Paroles de Poilus, based on letters and diaries written by France’s First World War troops, Jean-Pierre Guéno has turned his attention to the life of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. For this extensively illustrated biography, Jean-Pierre Guéno worked closely with the families of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and Consuelo de Saint-Exupéry, the Saint-Exupéry family heirs. The result is a work illustrated by over 450 documents: manuscripts, photos, letters; drawings, restaurant bills and a host of mementoes, all lovingly presented by artistic director Jérôme Pecnard.

Friends of the Little Prince should know that Jean-Pierre Guéno has not confined himself solely to the life of Saint-Exupéry. He has also made the acquaintance of the Little Prince, who takes his turn narrating the diary of the life of Antoine, writer, aviator and humanist.

Due for publication on 15 October 2009.
