The Souvenir d’Antoine de Saint-Exupéry Association renders him homage…

The months of June and July were definitely the months of Saint-Exupéry in the region of Le Bugey! This weekend the Souvenir d’Antoine de Saint-Exupéry Association met to celebrate the author and his work. The programme was a full one: an exhibition and sale of his works, with dedications by François d’Agay, the writer’s nephew and godson. In the evening, at 9 o’clock, there was a recital of songs written in homage to Saint-Exupéry organised by the Ad Libitum company. On Sunday, mass was celebrated at 10.30 a.m. by Father René Beaupère, a close friend of the Saint-Exupéry family, in the church of Saint-Maurice-de-Rémens, the town where the author was brought up.

This colourful weekend was certainly an allusion to the special day of 29 June 2011… Don’t forget, this was the day on which the project to restore the château and turn it into an Antoine de Saint Exupéry Museum was first unveiled. Those of you who missed out on this news at the time, can find out more on the official website .

This magical place is definitively the most symbolic spot, one predestined for the holding of celebrations, commemorations and events associated with the famous author of The Little Prince.
