Joann Sfar’s adaptation of the Little Prince as a graphic novel is still taking the continents by storm. After selling over 100,000 copies barely 6 months after it was first published in France, the album is now being translated into Turkish by Saadet Özen. It will be the rekindling of an old friendship between the Little Prince and Turkey, where the first edition of the tale was published in the early 1950s. Find out more: Turkuvaz Kitap |

The Association Petits Princes and P’tit Louis are organising their first competition to create an illustrated story, running until 22 May. Children throughout France are invited to take part, with their class, by presenting a story on the theme « The Adventures of P’tit Louis on the Ideal Planet ». (P’tit Louis is a character created to promote the P’tit Louis brand of cheeses.)
Between 1918 and 1927, an airline linking France to West Africa and South America was the brainchild of Pierre George Latécoère. In tribute to these pioneers of the air, of whom Antoine de Saint-Exupéry was one, the Mémoire d’Aéropostale association is organising an exhibition in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, until 3 May. The exhibition will then go on the road before taking up permanent home in Florianópolis at the end of October 2009.
